WeiYi Quan is a New York-based illustrator and designer who is originally from China. He attended the School of Visual Arts and graduated with Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Illustration in 2017. Growing up in Shanghai, the center of commerce and entertainment, which was also one of the first cities in China that got influenced by Western culture, he has been fascinated by the cultural background of his hometown. His artwork is full of fantasy characters and patterns, which are intended to resonate with people’s memory and cultural perspective. His work was featured in Vogue Russia, BuzzFeed and ElleMen. Besides working, Weiyi enjoys printing by silkscreen and designing stationaries, some of his prints and stationaries are selling in several boutiques in New York City right now.
